Meet Our Church Pastor
Profile of Pastor Deidra-Ann Leiba Deidra-Ann Leiba is a native of Jamaica, W.I. and later a resident of Brooklyn, NY. Her passion is to build up the kingdom of God through preaching, teaching, missions, help people realize and maximize their God-given potential, and equip the church to hasten the soon return of Jesus. With these passions in mind she attended Oakwood University where she received her B.A in Theology: Chaplaincy/ Counseling then Andrews Theological Seminary where she received her Master’s in Divinity and is currently completing a second masters in Professional Counseling. One of her greatest joys was working as Girls Dean and Religion teacher from 2008-2012 at Jefferson Christian Academy. Though she loved teaching she knew God still had more for her to do. In February 2012 she stepped out in faith and pursued pastoral ministry. God honored her faith and fulfilled His will by granting her this opportunity in the Texas Conference. Since August, 2012 she began serving as the associate pastor at Alpha International SDA church in Arlington, TX. Her role as associate includes formulating and maintaining ministry for the church and giving special attention to the young adults. She has started INC. which stands for IN Christ, IN the Church, and IN the Community which is a powerful young adult ministry. Pastor Leiba has adopted and strives to live by the philosophy “Accept no mediocre life.” As of August 1, 2014 Pastor Leiba now serves as Senior Pastor of Alpha international-a call that she sees as both a privilege and awesome task. She is certain that as she recalls the ways in which God has led her, God makes no mistakes. She believes that Alpha is on the move and that everyone is called to serve and be IN Christ. IN the Church. and IN the Community. |
